Downy Woodpecker – $230
The Downy Woodpecker is a small but powerful bird that forages along trunks and main branches of large trees. It’s beak and body are smaller and stockier than the hairy woodpecker. For our glass version, the body is hand detailed and kiln fired white and black glass, with minimal black and red glass, foiled and soldered in the Tiffany style. The feet are surface-mounted copper wire. The branches are striated brown glass on a raindrop clear background. The frame is bluing patinaed zinc and measures 7 ¼” x 9 ¼”. This panel presents well on a wall or window.
