Himalayan Blue Poppy

Himalayan Blue Poppy  – $75.

The Himalayan blue poppy is the national flower of Bhutan. The poppy symbolized potential, possibilities, psychic skills and expresses to the receiver that “you make my dreams come true”. The perpetually blooming artglass poppies and leaves are created from stained glass, kiln fired to slump and shape in hand-crafted molds. Each petal and leaf is partially wrapped in copper foil, soldered and joined, along with the centers, which are made from copper wire, soldered and lacquered. All the parts are solder joined to the twisted copper wire stem. The solder is patinaed with plum browning. A stylized wood block is shaped and finished for the mounting. Flower and wood combined measured 8″ high by 5″ wide; 10 oz. total weight. Original designs by Krim ArtGlass.
