Himalayan Blue Poppy – $75 The Himalayan blue poppy is the national flower of Bhutan. The poppy symbolizes potential, possibilities, and psychic skills. These perpetually-blooming artglass poppies are created from stained glass, kiln fired to slump and shape in hand-crafted molds. Each petal and leaf is partially wrapped in copper foil, soldered and joined to the centers, which are made from copper wire, soldered and lacquered. All the parts are solder joined to the twisted copper wire stem. The solder is patinaed with plum browning. Each flower measures 8-8.5″ high by 4-4.5″ wide.
